Some call it an infinity dress, this particular designer calls it a transformer dress, but all I know is that I have two of these babies (one knee-length, and this full-length as well) and I love them. I wore this outfit to my cousin's wedding in Tobago and felt so comfortable throughout the afternoon and evening in this dress. You might recognize my bracelet from this post about bridal accessories as it's also the one I wore for my wedding.
If you're considering buying an infinity dress, I highly recommend them. There are so many different ways to wear an infinity dress and the different styles are so easy to do when following along with the video below. My only issue involves the bust. Both infinity dresses that I own are from Von Vonni (the knee-length was actually my first online purchase) and are made of a drapey jersey material with the teensiest bit of sheen to them. They're very good quality, but because of the thin material and open back (ie: no bra) sometimes I feel like I could do with a little bit more... support.
Despite that issue, this beautiful deep eggplant colour offers me a bit more coverage, in a sense, and I liked this dress enough to buy it twice! Here's a helpful video that shows off many different ways to change up the styling of this infinity dress.

Ohh I feel like this is a sleeker version of American Apparel's "Le Sac Dress"! Might have to buy one of these for my honeymoon!
ReplyDeleteI agree. Le Sac is just cotton if I remember correctly but mixing a jersey blend jazzes this one up the perfect amount. I think the knee length would look amazing on you!
DeleteWhat an insanely gorgeous dress!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much Kristin. Happy you like it!
DeleteI've heard about these dresses. It looks good on you! :-) I like how the sun rays are in the first pic. Pretty.

Thanks Mo!! My lovely husband stepped in to take these of me.
DeleteHe did a great job. Maybe that will convince him to take more. :-)
DeleteI would love that! Let's hope so :)
DeleteI've always wondered about those dresses. There are so many possibilities that it almost intimidates me. It looks great on you!
ReplyDeleteThanks Leeann. I usually stick to two or three different ways but that's only because I blank on how to tie the straps when I'm left with 5 minutes to get ready lol. It's nice to experiment with though!
