June Monthly Reads
Ladies, most of us are in the thick of summertime. I find that as the weather heats up and I start moving a lot more (think walking around exploring a new area for the afternoon), it can get a little uncomfortable in certain areas if ya know what I mean! So for those of us whose thighs touch, wouldn't you agree that this is the best idea ever?
A thoroughly entertaining and very well written series of emails about when it's not okay to work for free.

Fun Summer Drinks (Part 2)
*Just in time for the Canada Day long weekend, here's Part 2 of some alternative summer drink recommendations by my libation-loving-alcohol-connoisseur-fabulous-friend Laura* Missed Part 1? Get caught up here.
While most ciders are made from apples, more brands are starting to incorporate many different fruits such as pear, wild berry, blueberry, peach, and elderflower. Since last summer, ciders have been stepping out from behind the shadow of beer and have become a staple drink to have on standby in the fridge. Ciders are a great substitute for the non-beer drinkers: dry, sweet, light or heavy, there seems to be a cider that fits the bill.
1. Magners Pear Cider 4.5% alc/vol. My personal favourite, this cider has a delicate balance of carbonation and light sweetness with a smooth pear flavour.
[Sidenote from Danielle: Magners is my favourite cider too! Very nice for a casual drink.]
Let's clear the air: beer and cider are not the same thing! Beer is made from fermented malted barley or wheat whereas cider is made from fermented fruit.Ciders

What I'm Wearing: Infinity Dress
Von Vonni transformer dress in egglant / Lulu Splendor rhinestone cuff bracelet
Some call it an infinity dress, this particular designer calls it a transformer dress, but all I know is that I have two of these babies (one knee-length, and this full-length as well) and I love them. I wore this outfit to my cousin's wedding in Tobago and felt so comfortable throughout the afternoon and evening in this dress. You might recognize my bracelet from this post about bridal accessories as it's also the one I wore for my wedding.

Fun Summer Drinks (Part 1)
I have something a little different lined up for the blog today and am proud to introduce you to one of my very best friends, Laura Iosue. This is the first guest post on The Lifestyle Project, and despite the fact that Laura isn’t a blogger herself, she offered to write an amazing two-piece article about this summer’s hottest (yet coolest) drinks. Considering that yesterday was the first day of summer, I think it’s perfect timing to share some Fun Summer Drinks (Part 1)!
After what felt like the longest winter ever, the summer is finally showing its beautiful sun-kissed face and what better way to celebrate this long awaited season than to kick back and pour yourself a glass of awesome.

5 Things I Miss About Living in Korea
This summer marks three years that I returned from living and working in Asia. I've been thinking about travel a lot lately and I came up with this list of the top five things I miss about living in Korea.
Now whether I could actually order delivery over the phone and describe where I live (considering Korean neighbourhoods generally don't have street names) is a whole other issue... but I appreciated the option of McDonald's delivery and always got a kick out of seeing those guys scoot around.1. Delivery 24/7

2. Hilarious people watching
The funniest people who usually caught my eye were the adjumas (old Korean women) with their face masks, extreme sun visors, parasols, and gloves (in the summer, mind you) and the adjishis (old Korean men) with their toe socks, sandals, and arm sleeves. Anything to avoid a tan!

Wedding Wednesday: Rehearsal Dinner
Welcome to my fifth and final installment of Wedding Wednesday where I've styled an outfit for the Rehearsal Dinner. Continuing with the white theme, I chose a sleek white dress that's a perfect canvas for fun accessories. For our rehearsal dinner, we decided to have a very casual affair at my parents' home but what I love about this look is how easy it is to dress up (as I did below) or dress it down with minimal jewellery and cute flat sandals.

7 Things You Didn't Know About Me
Donald, the multi-talented blogger behind Tres Charmant and owner of Shop Charmant, recently nominated me for a Versatile Blogger Award! And because us bloggers are such a friendly and generous bunch, when I say nominated I mean I won! :) This blog award is the kind that you pass along from one blogger to another, so I must say a very sincere thank you to Donald as it means a lot to be nominated by one of my peers. I'm still getting used to the this blogging thing but despite my newbie status the support that I receive from this community really is incredible and very encouraging.
If you haven't checked out Donald's blog already, I would definitely recommend doing so. I always enjoy reading about fashion, beauty, and product reviews from his point of view. Thank you for my very first blogging award!
In order to be an official recipient I'm supposed to share 7 things about myself so here goes:
