Is travel always an escape?
For me, it’s more than that (as I’ve touched on here in my first post and discussed a bit more here with my thoughts on travel). I hope I am building a life that I don’t need to escape from.
I’ve heard of couch surfing, but meal sharing? What a cool idea and fantastic way to connect with locals.

I haven't tried it myself either but have heard mostly good things from my friends who have. But for my own comfort and peace of mind, I'd rather just pay a bit more for a bed in a hostel. Meal sharing though sounds a lot less risky - I'd love to give it a try! Thanks for stopping by Rowan!
