You know those lazy days when all you want to do is hang out in your baggiest sweatpants and not go anywhere? I am definitely having one of those Saturdays. But let's pretend I'm not and instead getting ready to meet up with some friends or going out to enjoy a beautiful spring picnic in the park (hah - we just got hit with a late season snow storm yesterday so I doubt that picnic will be happening any time soon).
I put together a couple of outfits - the first incorporating my guilty pleasure and huge spring trend - wedge sneakers! Am I awful for secretly loving these?! Oh well... guess the secret's out now... the heart loves what the heart loves (or something like that). Throw a bit of distressed denim in there paired with cute glasses and a casual tote and you're all set.
This second outfit is a little more put together... Weekend Chic as I've decided to call it. I've really been coveting chambray lately and just bought the darker version of this shirt. I've definitely embraced my "country side" since marrying a southern boy (and even bought my first plaid shirt recently)! I really like the combination of a chambray shirt with white jeans and can't wait to recreate this outfit once my new purchase arrives. For some more inspiration with chambray check out my pinterest.

Wedgey sneaks <3 I've seen them around and I think I'm going to dare myself to buy some!
ReplyDeleteWedgey lol... but let me know where you pick them up! The ones above are from Aldo but a bit more than I am hoping to spend for this trend.
Deletelove both of these looks. with little kids i definitely have to think through my weekend wear more than i do for work b/c on weekends i want to be stylish but comfy and not fearing destruction of my clothing by the rugrats

I can only imagine! Not to mention having to watch out for delicate fabrics and light clothing (like white jeans). There's always more to think about when kiddies are around :)
